Located to the northwest of downtown Jackson and close to the Hawkins Field Airport, the Sonny Guy Golf Course can be reached either by taking West Fortification Street or West Capitol Street, passing by the Cedar Lawn Cemetery and Livingston Park when you are almost there. The 18-hole, par-72 Sonny Guy is a municipal course dating back to 1947 and offers 6,830 yards, mature trees, a pro shop, instructors, discounted weekday green fees and a layout suitable for beginner golfers.
